From Greek epokhe “stoppage, fixed point of time,” from epekhein “to pause, take up a position.
A short essay film contemplating ‘epochal shift’ and the phenomenology of times of crisis. Beginning with the word ‘epoche’ as used by Edmund Husserl, and later Bernard Steigler, the piece contemplates the sense of a stoppage in time that accompanies the the contemporary obsession with the present.
